Terms of Use
Effective date: October 8, 2026 · Last updated: October 8, 2026
Please read these Terms carefully. They explain the rules for using our Site, content, and community spaces.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of ethicssecurity.com (the “Site”), operated by Ethics Security LLC (“Ethics Security,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Purpose of the Site
The Site shares information about Ethics Security, its founders, community conversations and gatherings, speaking engagements, books, blog content, and an upcoming podcast. Ethics Security is not currently offering consulting or professional services through this Site, and nothing on the Site is an offer to provide such services.
3. No professional advice
Blog posts, talks, podcast episodes, books, and other content are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, regulatory, compliance, audit, cybersecurity, financial, or other professional advice, and no professional or client relationship is created by your use of the Site or by contacting us. Always consult a qualified professional about your specific situation. Views expressed by the founders, guests, and panelists are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of their current or former employers.
4. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, photographs, video, logos, book covers, and the “Ethics Security” name and logo — is owned by or licensed to Ethics Security LLC or its founders and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. SpeakerWithTheSneakers™ is a trademark of Chamon Gayton. The Human Element and Zara’s Cyber Sense / Zara and the Glitch Squad are copyrighted works of Chamon Gayton. You may view and share links to Site content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, republish, or commercially use our content, names, or marks without prior written permission.
5. Book purchases
Our books are sold through Amazon and other third-party retailers. All purchases, payments, shipping, returns, and customer service are governed by the retailer’s terms. Ethics Security does not process payments on this Site. Inquiries about bulk or educational orders may be sent through our contact form; any such order will be governed by separate written terms.
6. Speaking and event requests
Submitting a speaking or event request through the Site does not create a booking or any obligation. Engagements are confirmed only through a separate written agreement covering date, format, fees (if any), travel, and recording rights.
7. Community conduct
Our gatherings and conversations are built on respect. By participating in any Ethics Security event, discussion, or podcast, you agree to treat others with professionalism; to avoid harassment, discrimination, or hate speech; not to disclose confidential or sensitive information belonging to employers or clients; and not to use our events to solicit or sell without permission. We may decline or remove participation from anyone who violates these expectations. Events may be photographed or recorded; we will provide notice at the event.
8. Your submissions
When you send us messages, guest pitches, or feedback, you confirm you have the right to share that content and that it does not violate any law or third-party right. You grant us a non-exclusive right to use feedback and ideas you voluntarily submit to improve our programs, without obligation to you.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to: attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems; probe, scan, or test the Site’s vulnerabilities without our written permission; interfere with the Site’s operation; submit spam, malware, or automated requests through our forms; or use the Site for any unlawful purpose. If you believe you have found a security issue on the Site, please report it responsibly to info@ethicssecurity.com.
10. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party sites such as Amazon and LinkedIn. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.
11. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Cybersecurity threats and regulations change quickly; content may not reflect the most current developments.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ethics Security LLC, its founders, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site or its content. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ethics Security LLC and its founders from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
